I like Potatochips answer.

Only you will ever know if your beliefs are true.

Only your actions or lack thereof can show your beliefs to others, but you could still just be acting.

LEGAL Testimony is defined as a form of evidence that is obtained from a witness who makes a solemn statement or declaration of fact. Witnesses may however be called into question for truth and accuracy.

In RELIGION, testimony is a profession of faith or of personal religious experience. It is personal opinion, neither fact nor evidence.

It amazes me how many "believers" don't live their lives according to their faith(s). If you TRULY believe in God, shouldn't you keep in mind that you are constantly under surveilance?

PS - As for your comment about atheists, They're as uncomfortable with christians as they are with a tribe of cannibals. Historically (and presently) and on a global scale, christians are a fairly violent and meddling bunch. Not that any other religious group is any better...

Like the Bible declaring that it (itself) is God's Word. Well of course it will say that. Faith is the key to understanding how this makes sense.

The trick is to believe it and do what it says and then it (itself) becomes proof that it is true, because after you do what it says, you receive what it says you will receive. Understand?

It's like this. Paul talks to a person who has received Jesus Christ about what it is like having the Holy Spirit living inside of you.

Before you believed the Bible and received Jesus yourself, everything Paul was talking about didn't make much sense.

After you believe the Bible and receive Jesus, you again read what Paul is talking about and you understand perfectly, because it is the same thing that is going on inside of you.

Your belief brings about insight which in turn substantiates your belief.

Understand?

1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

That's why the believers feel so strongly about God being true and the unbelievers stumble because the Bible doesn't seem to make sense.

That's why faith is the key. God designed it that way so only the ones who come to him out of pure motives can understand what he is saying to them.

Open your heart to God's Spirit and then see if the Bible makes perfectly good sense.

I hope this helps.

Evidence and faith:

The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12.)

Absolutely - I believe that Christ does not exist and therefore I stand in testimony that Christ does not exist, and therefore Christ does not exist.

Works for me... ;-)

Evolution purely exhibits that small organic and organic differences can happen with the aid of the years. this isn't opposite to Christian theory. pointing out that a monkey grew to alter into guy, is on a thoroughly distinctive point. All technology is doing is getting to be responsive to God's creations. Or think of of it as a play, God has created the set (photograph voltaic gadget/galaxy/etc), and technology in basic terms chanced on some thing in this set (evolutionary exchange). This does surely no longer something to discredit faith...

no... that's why it is called "believing" not "knowing".

and as a side note, believers in Christ are not testimony that Christ exists, they are testimony that Christ has a following, regardless of whether he exists or not. That's pretty conceited if you ask me... to tell others that something is true or exists simply because you believe in it yourself...

I think having belief in your belief is good but to prove your belief especially if it is a religious belief, you should show it through your actions. If you say you are Christian but your actions do not, then people will question your belief in Christianity even though you believe in it wholeheartedly. Matthew 5:16 tells us to let our light shine before others so they may see and praise God.

Atheists don't question the existence of Christ they question the existence of God. The History of the ROMAN Empire bears out his existence. PEACE!

We all belief in something. no matter what we believe or don't believe in, it is still belief (even believing in yourself)...w/o belief there is no sense of self. we all need something to keep us going. some is knowlegde of something greater, some of the higher power "God/Christ", some themselves, others whatever they see, smell, touch, and feel. Does that make sense?
