Actually, Walgreen's went out years ago and purchased corner properties in every town they could. That's why you see them on corners all the time. They have closed a lot of the old ones, so if there are any in the middle of the block somewhere, they won't be there for long.

In my town, there is a Walgreens located in the middle of a strip mall. It's at least 50 feet away from the nearest corner, let her know this!

Yes, I live in CT. We have one that is right in the middle of three other businesses. They are no where near a corner.Maybe by choice they choose locations that are generally on the corner so that they can be called a corner store. But I know that there are allot of them that are just placed randomly through out the states.

There's one in Datyona Beach, FL. It's in the parking lot of a strip mall. There's a gas station on the corner. The Walgreens faces the street next to the gas station. It's at the intersection of Clyde Morris and Beville I think.

I lived in and worked in a Walgreens in Brooklyn Park Minnesota that was in the middle of a shopping mall. Very seriously and it was a good sized one too. It was but not sure if it is still there (it should be it had a lot of business to that store) it was on Brooklyn Blvd in Brooklyn Park, MN.

I haven't seen any to this point that aren't on a corner. But think about it. Location is everything. Chilis always seems to put themselves in areas where there are shopping malls as well as other eating places. It's about the revenue.

They are almost always located right across the street (Also on an adjacent corner) from a CVS too... I think it is a conspiracy! LOL! Great question! My husband and I think along these lines too and often have fun trying to figure this junk out.
