I can't think what people hope to gain by this. The only thing that cling film would do is to make you sweat and as a pint of water weighs a pound and a quarter (1kg for 1 litre) I suppose that weight loss would ensue.

However, this is false economy; as soon as the now dehydrated person drinks, they put the 'weight' back on.

The best way to lose weight is with exercise - swim, walk or just exert yourself more than normal in any given day and you will use significantly more energy.

By wrapping the cling film around your mouth you will be unable to eat, but be carefull not to cover your nose as well, then you will lose your life as well!

The idea is to cause sweating and it will give you a temporary weight loss but as soon as you rehydrate, the weight is back.

Plainly the sweating thing doesn't work but if you wrap the food in the stuff it makes it less appealing - I might try that lol

I`m not sure to be honest but i`d imagine it`s something to do with sweating,my brother used to wear a bin liner under his clothes when going to the gym,his instructor told him to do it and it worked!!
