The A side. The phrase "flip side" originated in the days of music on vinyl records. The single was on the "A side" and a bonus song was on the "b side," or "Flip side."

id call it the first side/ could be the first well known excepted belief of something but on the flip side its just another thought so (on the flip side) as well as on the other hand I hope this answered your question
