No, that is theft. Touch it only If you ask the owners and they say OK. It's awful to work at places where someone is stealing food. It makes people feel as if they have been violated. I've never had it happen to me, but I've heard about that happening from my friends and family members. Bad enough that it is the janitorial staff stealing at night but worse when it's a co-worker.
When you get a chance, buy a loaf of bread and jar of peanut butter. Make peanut butter sandwiches to bring to work.

It depend on you office policy. At my office, if you leave it sitting around it is fair game. But if that is not your office policy, then ask first.
