One theory of antropology believes that all Native Americans - those people who inhabited North, Central and South America before the Europeans came - originally crossed the ice bridge between Syberia (Northern Asia) and Alaska sometime during the last Ice Age, about 27,000 years ago.

If you consider one characteristic alone, eye shape, then this theory makes some sense. Consider Mexicans, Central and South American Latinos (Puruvuans, Hondurians, Nicuaruguans, etc.) then look at the eye shape compared to other Latinos such as Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Brazilians, Argentinians who are not mixed with (Native Americans). You can also throw in hair color and texture as well as a common hair characteristic of Asians that of the double strand. Many Asians have two hairs growing from each folicle yet most Europeans have only one hair per folicle. You will find this trait to be common among many Central and South American Latinos who have Native American ancestory as well.

Additionally, look at the Inuits and Eskimos, they have very Asian shaped eyes, streight black hair and double stranded folicles. So too, did/do the Native American tribes in North America.

Finally, if you know anything about the history of the Philippine islands. you are aware that most of inhabitants of the Philippine islands prior to the 17th century were of Asian decent. In the 1600's the Spanish made the Philippine Islands a Spanish Colony and for the next 300 years, the people of the islands mixed with the Spanish people. Most Filipino's are Asian/Spanish mixed and tend to have similar eye shape, hair texture (double folicles), and skin tone to Central and South American Latinos who trace their ancestory back to Native American and Spanish decent.

NO!

Go Kart has made a great point. A lot of people don't realize that a lot of the Native Americans were Mexican Indians before the Mexican American war. He is right...They got lucky, and the ones that got stuck on the Mexican side of the border got the raw end of the stick.

rainbowdazzle is right...The DNA doesn't match. So all the Europeans that keep screaming how we, as indigenous were immigrants as well, better edumacate demselves.

Negrodeus...Tell me you aren't truly as ignorant as your writings. I am not an afro mix, and neither are many Mexicans, there are very few, but that is in south Mexico, near of the Gulf, only because of the Carribean. The people you are talking about is Puerto Ricans, Cubans, South Americans, etc. Look to history and find out why there wasn't an influx of Africans in Mexico, and I can't say I don't disagree.

Well there is a Mongolian theory which is during the Ice Ages the Asians migrated crossing the Bering Strait and they had the dark spot on their lower back. The mexican decendants did not migrate from Asia.

No. The DNA does not match. There is a theory that Native Americans came from somewhere near modern day France. They would have "walked" across the area that is now the Atlantic ocean, which would have been frozen, during the Ice Age. Dont know

The Spaniards, whose language is spoken today in Mexico, invaded that land, killed off a lot of the indians, and set up shop.
Only difference between mexican indians and american indians is we paid ours a LOT of money, and now they have gigantic casinos with billions in income, those that aren't killing themselves with Lysol, that is...Eventually, the Lysol tribe will die off, though, leaving only the Casino Indians behind...mexican indian tribes, though, are pretty much screwed. And, you can thank the mexican government for that. It's sad, but that's about what has happened over the last 500 years. Moral of the story: Stop examing your ethnic heritage navel, and get a JOB.

Former Mexican President Fox has preached to his "followers" that the Southwestern u . s . belongs to Mexico and that the USA stole it from the folk of Mexico. they trust that if adequate of them come the following they're going to run the individuals out of the Southwest and take it lower back for Mexico. that is an unarmed invasion. the money earned with suggestions from Mexicans operating an u . s . of america is being despatched lower back to Mexico, making the USA the third best source of earnings for Mexico. it really is not any longer to assert that there aren't any further good, demanding operating human beings there who merely choose a significantly better existence. yet no longer something lower than NAFTA is making their lives in Mexico better. it is making ours worse the following. I even haven't any situation with everyone who is composed of this united states of america legally, works demanding, pays taxes, and assimilates to our custom.
