Maybe the dictators are trying to hide behind Christianity as an excuse for their behavior. Like the Ku Klux Klan does.

The Bible promotes the most monstrous dictator of them all--God. He demands your constant worship, if you don't give it to him, he'll smite you with boils or burn your city to cinders, then he'll send you to everlasting fiery torture when you die. If he likes you enough to let you into heaven, then you still must worship him eternally, and he does a mind-wipe so that you won't remember your loved ones who are burning in hell. Compared to all that, Hitler and Mussolini were real charmers!
