It's not really bad, but he might some time of special food incase he has a diasese and you don't know, but his owners do. It might make him worse because you don't what type of food he might need. Try and return it to the owners of him/her and tell them whats been going on just incase because they may not like having their cat going into some elses home or yard. He peobably was a stray or he would've had a collar before or maybe the owners couldn't offord it but then they could. My rule is, if you adopt a stray cat, put a collar on it so other people might know it has an owner, because if you just adopted one and somebody else did they might move and take him/her with them. Be careful and try to find out, maybe the owners wanted to wait.

yes it is bad to feed someone else's cat as when the cat goes home it may seem to it's owner that it is not eating so the owner will be concerned and wonder if there is something wrong. Try just giving the cat a treat not a bowl of food. hat way you will still be friends with the cat but not encourage it to eat with you instead of at it's home

I would continue to feed it but mean while I would contact the local humane society and see if any one is looking for it. If the collar has any information on it or even a vac tag you can call and find out who it belongs to that way, also you can take it to a vets office and see if it has a microchip in its neck and then you can return the lost cat. It is either lost or someone threw it out and it has come to depend on you for food so.

If a cat looks well looked after and not like a stray then i would not feed it as it probably goes from house to house to be fed and will end up ill

Nothing wrong with that babe, I think it is sweet, I have two cats and if they ever went missing I just hope they ended up at the house of someone like you.
My eldest cat used to get fed proper fish from the fish monger by one of our old neighbours yet he would always come home, then would bugger off to get his fish, then when they left things just went back to the norm.
I do the same for cats and dogs if they are in my domain then they will get fed and watered.

Well then you shouldn't feed it. Because if you feed cats they will think you want to keep them as pets. Soon the cat will come into your house and make himself comfy. Would you like someone else feeding your cat?

No, your helpng an animal. But what you should do is go and find the owner of the cat and tell them why and when you've been feeding it and ask them about the times they feed their cat, to make suer it's not being over fed.

it isnt bad for the cat unless he has allergies that you dont know about and he will always be at your house. this has happened to my cat and it rarely come back to our house and it ended up getting a rash because he was allergic to the food. i was only a kid then so i had trouble understanding what happened and someone put a flea-collar on him so we knew someone fed him.
