Amen brother. I like to think god runs a buffet and the different religions are items on the line. As long as you eat in his restaurant, no matter what you eat, you get full. Or as they say in Moscow, all roads lead to the Kremlin (maybe a bad analogy, but you get my point)

Hoping to no longer be categorized as adversarial, comprehend here to be reported in mushy, respectful tones. i'm no longer so specific that there is so little distinction as you would be able to think of between the three religions you stated or the numerous different religions of the international. however there are a number of that could relegate Christ to the function of instructor/chum/instruction manual (probably your chum, the christian, however i'm hoping no longer), that's no longer what he has reported approximately himself. i think of that's summarized superb while he says, "i'm the way and the reality and the existence. No guy comprises the father different than via me." (John 14:6) And on a similar time as people who choose the call of Budhist or Wiccan or Christian can sit down and communicate amicably their ideals as though there have been no real ameliorations, i'm specific that Budha or the 'Earth mom' or the Lord Jesus ought to no longer have the comparable communication, because of the fact a minimum of you will declare that he's the only way and the different 2 could could disagree with him. on the different hand, do I choose calm and clever communicate while followers of Christ seek for to modern-day him to others? easily. surely, even with what I choose, we are commanded to take this posture while talking of the reality of the gospel: "...yet sanctify Christ as Lord on your hearts, continually being waiting to make a protection to anybody who asks you to grant an account for the desire it quite is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; " I Peter 3:15 i'm hoping it quite is the concepts-set that your chum has and that that's understood that even the place communication is civil, it does no longer mean there is no distinction between authentic and untrue.

Practicing what you preach is one of the most difficult things to do. Walking the walk instead of talking the talk. As a Christian, it's all about striving to live your life like Jesus did...imagine the pressure! : D
No religion should ever tell another that they are 'wrong'. That's a silly waste of time. That's the great thing about free and open societies. You get to try other religions and see which works best for you.
Awesome question! Makes you think!

Well, I'm not saying I agree with this, but those folks would probably say that it doesn't matter how much we like people and want to accept them, it is possible that one religion is right and others are wrong. It's not a matter of understanding and peace, it's a matter of someone's beliefs are accurate and others' are inaccurate.
Of course there any many in each of those religions who would say that many/all religions are at least in part correct, so we should embrace them not only as diversity but as actual assistance in our own journey to discover God because they know something we don't. But those people aren't the ones you're talking about in your question.

I think that Power is what most people -politicians- are looking for. Some people don´t care about the others. If not, why is there so much wealth in the Vatican if most children are dying of hunger? That I would like to know. You know, I believe in God, Jesus, His Holy Mother, I also believe in Angels but I disagree with many aspects of the Catholic Church, to begin with. Like you, I would like everybody live with love, understanding and peace and I would like the fighting stopped.

As a devout Unitarian Universalist I agree with you...Of course neither you nor your wife or I are considered "mainstream" so our views are generally discounted anyway. FYI Buddism is more of a Philosophy of Life than Religion and I have long resented people asserting that Eastern Philosophies are Religions. PEACE!

The vast majority of religions teach "we are superior to everyone else, so look down on them", regardless fo what the leader of that religion said. Jesus said "Judge not, lest ye be judged". Yet most Christians are quick to condemn anyone who disagrees with them to hell. Most other religions are the same. The problem is not with the source material. The problem is with the people who have to feel superior to other people

Namaste friend,
What is religion to most people? For members of all faiths it is a quest of harmony and self purification at its deepest heart. But how many of those faithful actually live the religion they espouse? For how many is it a warm blanket in times of trouble, a place to meet and a way of thinking framiliar to a local group, be it church or sangha or coven. how many of those in a faith actually pull the values and principles of a religion out of a box and go through the painful proccess of trying them on, and trying them out against the slings and arrows of reality. It is far easier to hold beliefs in the backs of our minds, untested and unapplied than to face the breaking of the boundries within ourselves so that we can reach out in kindness to all others. Our ignorance of ourselves breeds our intolerance to others.
Heck, even in religions that are set like Islam and Christianity, that they are the one true path and all others will face everlasting damnation I see a great benifit of reaching out in love and understanding to those who see things diffrently than we do. If there is only one path that is benificial, kindness will bring others to that path more quickly than hatred.

People have their personal agendas, and because the pull of the flesh is so strong, they follow the flesh. Romans 8:5 says, "For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh,; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."

Being religious doesn't always equate to being spiritual.
You will never find spiritual people hating others for their religion.
The Dalai Lama said it best about religion and spirituality
This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

hi,
the word of God says that by their fruits ye shall know them. every true christian filled with the Holy Spirit will aim daily to do the work of God and obey his word.
any christian who preacheas and doesn't do as he says actually needs to reaccess his life.
but don't be surprised cos the word of God tells us we are not perfect, so don't dwell so much on the imperfection of God's children.
God alone is perfect, and His children strive day and night to be like him.
if you see someone who doesn't live an examplary life, just remind them in prayer and ask that the Lord touch them and change their life.
I pray that God bless you, cause his countenance to shine upon you, and daily protect you and your family and let His will for your life come to pass.
God bless you.
