First thing to do is uninstall the software using add/remove programs

Then load software again, but normally don't connect the web-cam yet.

I'm assuming that you have XP as the operating system.

If problem persists log on to manufacturer's site and look for patches.

Then if that fails return to shop and buy replacement, but another manufacturer.

Logitech was easy to install and worked first time.

1. In case your cd has become dusty, get a clean tea towel and wipe it, get rid of finger prints etc.

2. Go to Add / Remove programs and take the program off your computer.

3. Close down all programs that are running in your taskbar (exit out of them).

4. Install your software again, make sure you type in the correct serial number (check it twice).

5. If you have not been prompted to plug in your webcam, then do it after the software has been installed.

6. Restart your computer.

7. You must contact the store you purchased it in if this does not work and ask them to demonstrate or change your cam.

See if the manufacturer of the webcam has a website with an FAQ or help section. Some problems are typical to certain operating systems. Good luck.

unplug your webcam and don't connect it until you install their software. It Freezes because you connect webcam to your PC before you install software

So next time if you don't want it happen again please don't connect all USB device before install driver.

As previous - go to manufacturers website and download the latest drivers, sometimes the enclosed discs are old and do not contain most recent drivers
