When I was in my teens I was having the same problems. I would get a really sharp pain right underneath my chest and it would creep to my back. I had these attacks for years until finally I rushed to the emergency room when I was 17...Turned out to be gall stones. My gall bladder was finally removed so the attacks stopped, but to this day I continue to have problems when I eat corn, spicy foods and fried foods...they just don't digest well...
Have your Dr. do an ultrasound to check for stones...

find out what spices and oils are being used on the popcorn.
That might be the real culprit.
you could try taking BEAN-O before you eat popcorn.
One other popcorn option might be that you are having the popcorn with a carbonated drink. That would make the acid reflux worse.
spicy could be an ulcer or GERD problem.
Red meats doesn't fit well.
Until you can get some tests and some answers, i would avoid all 3.
How old are you? Any heart disease in the family?
I ask because it isn't JUST that indigestion can be confused with heart problems, but some indigestion seems to be an early sign of heart problems.
The dull pain could be minor ( or early) angina.

I can give you more details of my experience/journey along this path if you wish.

Sounds like a typical food allergy to me. Popcorn is a surprisingly common allergy. Many more people have low tolerances, where they can eat a cup and be fine, but more than that and they aren't so fine. Your other food sensitivities may also be allergies. I would avoid the foods and go find a Health Kinesiologist. Health Kinesiology is a great tool for eliminating allergies permanently. It's based on gentle acupressure and is amazing. I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Could be a spastic colon or diverticulitis. See a different G.I. and cut down on greasy, fatty and dairy foods for awhile. This may help.
