aerobic exercise for 30 mins a day, 3-5 days a week.

keep calorie intake the same, but divide your meals into 4 a day instead of 3. this will keep your metabolism burning fat for longer and your body will not store as much excess weight.

a good guideline - losing more than 3 pounds a week us unsafe. if you start now, you can probably take off 25-30 pounds by oct. 1st.

good luck, and congrats to your friend :D

Diet, have her start eating healthy about 6 to 7 times a day with good cardio exercise maybe 3 times a week for 45 minutes to an hour. Eat brkfast at 730 then a snack at 10 lunch round noon snack at 3 light dinner at 5 and snack at round 7 or 8. The eating small protiions that many times will increase metoblism, and the exercise will burn fat. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner typically she can eat what ever she wants just not to much. Fruits, Oatmeal, Protien bars, Veggies, lunch meat all these are great for inbetween meals. If she does this she may not get to 50 lbs by oct but she will notice a serious decrease in size and appetite.

There are lots of factors that contribute to weightloss success and failure.

Everybody needs:

First and foremost, Good Nutrition - her body won't let those reserves go easily if it fears she is starving.

Fewer Calories - needs no explaination

A food and/or exercise plan that she can really commit to. - Something she can afford and will be happy doing long term.

A focus on health above beauty - If you get healthy, the hot body comes with it for free (along with more energy, better mood, better sleep, longer concentration etc); if you focus on skinny, you will probably end up sick, heavier, and risk nasty things like eating disorders and kidney issues.

A plan to address the reasons why earlier diets failed. - I am sure she has tried to lose before; if she doesn't address those problems this time, history will simply repeat itself. Just being "more serious" this time doesn't help as much as you would think.

A counselor or friend who understands weightloss and nutrition to go through it with her. - This greatly increases her chances of succeeding.

I am a volunteer for the Keeping America Healthy Campaign. If your friend would like a free personal evalutation and report have her contact me at all4god@yahoo.com or 949-276-8293. I don't give specific advice without an eval, but afterwards I would be happy to discuss a realistic plan that suits her needs and hopefully can meet her goals. I lost about 35 lbs in that same time frame, and 20 in the first month - and stayed healthy. In some circumstances I can even offer longer term weightloss counseling for free.

Well, the obvious answer is eat less excersize more. However I lost over 100lbs, so I have a pretty good idea of how to go about it (and I didn't excersize - although it's helpful. To lose weight fast just do not consume over 500 calories a day, and do it in 3 separate meals. What I did was I would eat a granola bar in the morning, for lunch I would have 16 cheezits, and for dinner I would have a bowl of cereal with no milk. It totally sucked, you can change any of that crap out, but keep your total intake at 500 calories, and do it over the course of the day - I lost 40lbs in two months doing that. It's also gratifying because you'll see weight loss within the first day or two - it's quick!!!

Yes and this site is especially designed to lose weight before weddings, It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

A rigorous exercise program--one she will stick with, plus a sensible diet could help her lose maybe 20 pounds or so. She should consult a doctor before trying anything this drastic.
