As for moose in Maine. I spent a week in Milliknockett. It's Northern Maine. Climbed Spencer Mt. There were moose every where. It's on Moose head Lake. As for NH, Don't believe I've ever seen a moose there. But the Mountains are beautiful. The White MT. area. Better yet. Crawford Notch is beautiful. Conway area, Lake Winnipasocki. NH, & Maine is Gods country.

Moose Lake in Maine, or anywhere in the mountains. Gorham, Berlin, Pittsburg NH or any place in northern NH.

Western Arostook county, if you are looking for truly wild, random moose in the woods. There are many guides and places that can point you in the right direction in the town of Caribou, close to the Canadian border.

colebrook and erroll nh have tons of moose
you have to go either early in the morning or just before dark - thats when they move around
they like lots of trees and some watery areas are good places to look

Try the National Parks and Forest. You can contact a ranger and see what they say, you might be able to get a ranger led tour
