I would like to know more about the differences between Blueray and HD-DVD... and which one will win the media war. I personally think Blueray will since Sony has a huge portion of the movie market. (Not to mention the playstation 3 coming soon)

With thorough comparison to the two from my father who is an expert at High Definition quality, HD-DVD is better quality than the Blueray, but since the Blueray has many more production studios and companies backing it up, the results will be similiar to how the VHS and Beta Max tapes were. Beta Max had hella better quality than VHS, but in the end VHS won the game and Beta faded out. Its a popularity contest. So in the end BlueRay will overcome prediction at least. But for now, HD-DVDs are way cheaper than BlueRays, so get one while you can.

the quality of blu-ray and HD are the same. The blu-ray uses a blue lazer to read the disc. I believe that the only difference between the two is that blu-ray can store more information, up to 50 gigs. the HD can store at 30 gigs for it max.
