Right now its all in your head.
However, for years to come you will smell smoke or something and you will swear it is pot.

I think you will always feel an urge or be delighted by the aroma of it. I stopped for a three year period and whenever I was around someone who smoked I still enjoyed the smell and felt the urge to smoke. I quit so I could focus more on school and work and now that I'm where I wanted to get in life I'm in control of the weed the weed dose not control me. I use it in moderation, like when I'm at home in the evenings or on the weekends. I think it's mind over matter, you just have to be stronger than the urge.

You probably didn't actually have withdrawl. Rather you probably had been really high, and so where still high. But it was stale, and you wanted the rush back up.

Anyway, no. If there is Mary-J around you will always still want to use it. Think of it like choclate (this is right out of my college psych book) you may want to buy it, and if its there you will almost assuredy use it. But without much effort, you will probably not need to go out of you way to get it. Of course, people do get addicted to foods, but it is a different matter than being addicted to cigarettes say.

Just ask God to take away the "Desire", for it !!! And, think about keeping your mind very busy, with other things !!! If its the hand-mouth response, you miss, then eat baby apples, or hard candy.....Anything to keep those hands constructive!!! Hooray, for you, that you quit !!! Congratulations !! Just pat yourself on the back, for conquering those demons, you deserve, a good "Pat on the back", "Bravo!!! To You" !!! Just keep in mind where you've been, & how far you've come !!! This is such a "Wonderful thing" to be so proud of !!! Its definately not worth blowing it !!! Not !!!!

Dude, you'll get over it. It took me a while to get over smoking. But I think it probably works along the same principles. Once its out of the system, it won't be as bad. By the sounds of things, it probably takes longer for Marijuana smokers.

youd better get over it cause weed leads to nothing but bad things...my bro got arrested for weed then tested positive during his drug test a few months later now hes on probation for 2 years, has to do countless hours of community service and has to be tested ever 2 weeks for the next two years....and on top of that, he has a possession charge on his permanent record.

so as much as you want to do weed, id say stay away...it may be fun for a while but in the end, its not worth it.

It will take time. You have to find something to keep your mind off of it when you are craving it. I am proud of you for quitting. Takes a strong person to realize their weaknesses. Congrats!

do it like me. I quit cigarettes but then only smoked weed when I wanted a cigarette bad.
Now I don't need the cigarettes and I don't need the weed either.
I might smoke a joint at a party but thats about it.

Its over rated and its a fake high.

you probably miss the "escape" of smoking...as long as you have stress-you'll want an escape. I'm a smoker-but consider myself very mature about it...I use it at home when I'm not going anywhere-it helps with my creativity, and my nerves.
