Isn't it great? They pre-record these things, and yet somehow people seem to think there is a connection RIGHT NOW with the guy!

I love it when they talk about feeling someone being healed right now- through the hand contact... which is an incredible miracle of time/space in two directions if you think about it! I mean, they had to know that 'someone' (and isn't it odd that they never seem to know the name?) is being healed of some vague malady- even though that person has not seen the show yet or touched the screen... and that person won't feel any changes until AFTER the touch. After all- if they were healed when the televangelist said it, they wouldn't have touched the screen!

Absolutely. And the next nutty thing they usually ask you to do is send them your money! When I was a little girl, I always wondered how the visiting preachers could be so poor and drive Cadillacs.

lol. Seriously, God uses many vessels-- even purple hair wigged ladies. I have been blessed by some of these programs. There are a few that are questionable and steer clear (Benny Hynn being one of them).

Yet, I will say this. My mother-in-law who is a non-believer was watching Benny Hynn with a friend who suffered with Aids. It was right around the time the "cocktail" was just introduced. He hadn't began to take it, yet. He was really sick almost to the point of death. They were watching the program and Hynn mentioned a woman that was worried about her male friend with Aids... he said a few more things and prayed over these people.
To this day, she is convinced that it was about them. Unfortunately, even with this knowledge, she is still an unbeliever. God will admonish you and may even show you signs. Yet, ultimately placing our faith in Him is up to us.

Some people are able to pray better that way. I always felt the static electricity and pulled back. Do you suppose the evangelist knew it was there?
