It is not viewed as bad in Christianity. In some so called Christian religions in the origins of the church, some of hte leaders viewed left handedness as a sign of withcraft and God's disapproval- ( he will separate the sheep to the right and goats to the left, and right hand of the Father ) scriptures that mentioned hands always seem to favor the right hand- left handedness was looked at as influenced by satan- so in their ignornce they treated left handed people differently or tried to change that in them- later on it kind of evolved into maybe it is a mental handicap thing that can be changed- my mother claims she was left handed and the catholic school she went to forced her to learn to write with her right hand- eventually it ecame accepted as the norm. I am a leftie and I never had problems at the catholic school I went to- I changed churches and denominations so many times its not funny and never once did I run into anyone that had a problem with my left handedness

Left handedness is not viewed as bad in Christianity. It is with the right hand that we praise God, but both hands can be used. Ignore anyone that tells you that the left hand is evil---they do not know what they are talking about.

People used to think that left-handedness was a sign of the devil. But even Christians can be confused. It was wrong, and now we know better...

FiatJusticia, you have no understanding of the Bible whatsoever, as I can tell by your comment about being raped in the city. The point was that the girl should've been yelling and screaming for help. To the current question, being left handed isn't viewed as bad, at least, not that I've heard of. There's no reason for it to be.

Some say it's from Bar sinister meaning bastard. A bar on a shield going in the wrong direction, indicating an illegitimate son.
And others saying it is from Jesus when he said cast your nets on the right side of your boat, a statement of doing everything from the right, or to the right.
Thus a person that is left-handed is ________ (fill in your own word).
This is a tradition of man not God, and who the hell cares what man says?

It goes back to the Hebrews using the shovel to cover their waste. The custom was to use the left hand. In Middle Eastern cultures you eat with your right hand and use TP with your left.

Do you suppose it is sinful to wash both hands as we do?

Seriously, it probably has something about Jesus being on the right hand of God.

That is a new one for me. Maybe it is just the wacko Christians. In many eastern beliefs the left hand is considered "dirty" because it is used for toileting purposes.
