It happened to me.........I was simply looking for sex, someone answered my ad and we fell in love, been together now going on 8 yrs........and it was because we were brutally honest online, we figured if we cant be honest online why bother at all?

Its ridiculous that they are trying to find someone they love by sitting at a computer instead of going out and meeting someone, but falling in love is not so ridiculous.

Well, I was on match.com for a couple years. I met a few interesting people, went on some dates...then this spring I met someone on there that I really like and have been with her for 3 months now. So, I think you can find "love" using the internet; you just need to be patient, realistic and well grounded.

Not at all. This is 2006, and the internet is a staple in our society. Its a very good way to meet people actually. I met my boyfriend on here, in a chatroom actually. I chatted with him for over a year before I even met him. We have been together for 3 years. If you can find someone who is honest then its a great way to meet new people.

I "found" my fiance on Match.com and we are happier with eachother than we have ever been with anyone else. We met and THEN fell in love. We didn't fall in love while just talking on the internet. It's a good source to meet people that you would never meet in your everyday life.
So, no. I don't think it's ridiculous. :)

If it is, don't tell my friend and my sister. They are going to marry the men they met on the internet. My friend even moved from the U.S. to Europe.
