It's so nice to hear about someone who is actually helping animals!

I had a little abandonee and my fear more so than eating was dehydration. I kept his eyedropper and some milk on hand all the time. I also set a schedule of feeding once an hour. It was exhausting, but he lived!

He also balked at eating actual kitty food. Some kittens learn by example. Meaning put a dollup of moist kitten food on your lip and let him lick it off. Believe it or not, this works! Another reason why I wanted him on moist kitten food so fast (1 month) was because it kept him hydrated. I knew dehydration would kill him faster than malnutrition, so everything had oil or milk in it.

Now................he is a 25 lbs neutered (tom)cat. No fat, all muscle and heavy frame! I can hardly pick him up anymore. He hangs so far over my arms I'm afraid I'll drop him. And come to find out he was an unintentional Snowshoe Siamese mix. Beautiful markings! (check him out on my web page! Below and if you have any questions just drop me a line!)

Hope your little one grows into a big cat like my little kitten! (he's two years in mid-August)

Good Luck and I'll keep the little one in my thoughts!
Blessings,
Naomi Joy

well, u could consider getting another kitten. as all pets who live in groups, they tend 2 get rid of their habits and gain new attitudes because no1 is there. yes, getting a companion 4 ur kitten would probably b the best way 2 go.
if your kitten til teds 2 not wanna eat, try getting special food, like soft and wet food(although i recommend getting the wal-mart brand because it is the cheapest but my cat and dogs still enjoy the flavor).
if this still doesn't work,i suggest u take ur kitten 2 th vet. they always tend 2 know what is going on with ur pet.
i still recommend getting another kitten first though. kittens/cats love having some1 other than their owners2 play with when u leave the house(trust me-i know. it's only a matter of time b-4 ur kitten scratches up everything in ur house) so they don't get lonely.
good luck 2 u!

I knew a redneck from Texas who named his son Mister. sarcastically his final call became Wright. the father suggested that his son could continuously get comprehend if his call became Mister. specific, Kitten is a wierd call. i've got talked approximately as girlfriends Kitten till now, yet in basic terms as a nickname. i assume her mothers and dads needed their daughter to have a memorable call. right here on the reservation little ones get the strangest names too. Names that don't even exist in foreign places languages. i'm uncertain the place this predolection for unusual names on the reservation got here from although this is prevalent to furnish little ones names like ok'Shon, Willemeenia, Labrynth, Ruby purple, T'Shinga....the checklist is going on and on. It will become a discomfort interior the butt once you're attempting to purchase customized espresso cups for adult males like that.

get the kitten some evaporated kitten milk from the store because if the mother has had litters before, her milk might be going bad. it just could be the milk is bad or there is very little of it.

its WAY TO YOUNG TO BE WITHOUT ITS MOM! if its two sisters died without their mother they probably died due to lack of maternal milk. the first days of momma's milk is the best defense for a newborn kitten. the best thing you can do is to look for an adoptive mother or a really good newborn formula, BE QUICK!

Where is mom? If mom is not around, are you taking care of ALL of her duties? Newborn animals, puppies and kittens, depend on mom stimulating them to potty....if they are not stimed, they will not go!....take a soft washcloth and a bowl of warm water (needs to be kinda hot, because it cool quick), wet washcloth and wring out until just damp (simulating moms tongue)....gently rub (male or female?) "pee" area until it starts to wet....rewarm and do the same thing with the anus until he/she poos (this sometimes takes a while)....if seems constipated, use a q-tip and Vaseline, and gently insert it (barely) into anus (lubing). I did this with the runt of my litter...Mom tried to kill him, so I bottle fed...milk constipated him.

If this is not your problem, take that baby to a vet and have it examined.

Baby kittens feed on their mother's milk. You don't have to feed extra. Where is his mom?
