I think it depends on the woman's age a lot.
The older we get, the more we realize that the brawn fades, as with women's looks Brains are more likely to stay around for a while longer.

Younger women are attracted to a bit of brawn in a man. More 'mature' women are usually looking for brains, because we know that the 'brawn' tends to dissipate with aging.

Looks like I get to offer the first "male" response. From experience (and I've had plenty), Women go for brain. They would love brawn in addition but the more you can win their minds (and challenge them to boot) the more likely they'll over-look brawn.
I'm a scrawny guy and always have been. It's just my metabolism. But in all my years of dating (with the exception of my current GF), all my girlfriends have been models and I'm no Brad Pitt. Work out and beef up, it's good for the mind and the body but women will ultimately go for character over appearance.

6 packs, tight bums and huge biceps are great to look at on the beach or in a magazine but in reality a lot of girls just think guys like that are too much in love with themselves to love anyone else! When it comes to boyfriend material, as long as a guy eats healthily, takes exercise and looks after himself, intelligence is far more important. Give me a funny, intelligent guy anyday!

I like both, but if I had to chose, it would be brains all the way. I mean muscles are nice to look at but what good are they if your just stupid. I like to have conversations and actually talk to my men. You can attract a person but in order to keep them you have to have some sense!!!

Intelligence is sexy. Hands down I go for a guy that is smarter then me any day. However, I don't want to be tougher then him, he needs to be able to take care of himself. But brains are vastly more important then how much he can bench press.
