Let me clarify. There may be some purpose for this life, but that brings us to the purpose of THAT purpose, which brings us to the purpose of the purpose of the purpose, until eventually, we just have to conclude that we are imaginary beings, and the sum total of all existence cannot exert influence on anything else and therefore can have no meaning. This goes without saying.
Buddha was able to annihilate himself and reunify with the godhead, or "Nothing." He broke free from the binds of cause and effect. In the meantime, since we're not too good at that, have a beer and some sex.

The meaning of our life is far more than that, it is about appreciating our Creator, worshiping Him and His perfection. It is about loving one another, and meditating to find the answer of this exact question. ;)

Be happy, serve mankind as well as animals. Feel first when you try to do wrong and illwill, put yourself in that position, then act for wrong/illwill. Definitely, you will avert that wrong/illwill to anybody. Man had to become man first then human being that is all in this Maha Kaliyug. Good friends, company and attachment to Sant, will give you right thinking and you will love to all creatures and all will love you.
