Were you born in a country other than the USA?

As I understand it you would need a certified copy of your Birth Certificate...that means if you were born in the USA you have to order a certified copy from the Bureau of Vital Statistics (address on the internet) and pay a fee

you'd need 2 copies of a 2" b 2" picture of yourself (mostly your face).

Present your social security number (surely you have one if you've been working)

Present your Drivers license and current car insurance (from the Department of Motor Vehicles...and your insurance company)

Present something that shows you are presently employed, by what company. A letter from your employer with an original signature, including phone number would suffice.

and bring with you a check or money order for appropriate fees.

I didn't know you needed 10 years of records. Something new?? Anyway, here are some ways you can obtain those records. Select those that apply: school records; charge account records (call or write for them); a history of renting property OR of paying a mortgage on a home; medical or dental records; tax records for both federal and state taxes; any annual licensing you have received, such as fishing or hunting. I hope these help. Usually none of these will cost you to get, but because of the work involved in running them down for you, ask so you will know if you are being charged and how much.

Good luck!!
