Depends on what you mean by "missing" and at what age she disappeared.
For instance, if she was young and marriage age (13 in Florida), could she have married someone and moved away? Could she have had amnesia? Was it a type of situation where maybe you should contact the police, or hire a PI? Have you done your DNA so the police have something to compare with? Where was she last seen and by whom? What was here situation when living at home, was she friendly, bothered, had any men around her? What were her grades like; did her teachers have anything to comment about her behavior? How old would she be now? Is her picture listed at the post office as missing? Who have you contacted recently to find her? What does your mom suggest? How extensive has the search for her been in the past? Did she have a social security number? If so maybe someone could find out if that social security number is still being used, or at the very least where it was used last. Have you posted pictures and had someone done the age progression and post the pictures around town? I do genealogy and would be happy to check the SS number with a listing online of the people who have died. You can check with your state's list of people who have died. You can check newspaper obituary records of other relatives to determine what years the aunt was still around. How about church records, or county records to see if she got married.

I don't know how to find out if she is dead or not, but if there is no record of her, she may have been declared legally dead.
If anyone has her SS# you can pay online todo a background check on her which might tell you her current address. Some of these checks only cost $9.95 to do.
You might also consider that she doens't want to be found. Some people just don't get along with family, and blood doens't mean people have to like each other

Contact Missing Persons. That agency should be able to search for her in obituaries around the nation and maybe the world. If she's 20 years missing, then your chances of finding her is slim to none sorry to say. I hate to sound morbid, but she might be buried in the middle of the woods for all we know.

Contact the police in that area. Maybe they bhave been trying to solve a cold case oe maybe they can open a missing persons investigation. Ads in newspapers may help also.

Sometimes just putting her name in several search engines and see what you come up with can work. I've done that before.
