Some of my friends tell me that shaving over and over again makes it grow fast. Is it true? I already have some hair growing on my chin.

It is a myth that shaving hair makes it grow faster. Once it grows out on your face or head, hair is dead cells, so how would it know you were shaving it? Growth of facial hair is affected by your hormone levels and your genetic code. You don't want to mess with the former and you have no control over the latter. Guys in their teens often have trouble growing really full beards. By the time you reach your mid-20s, your beard will be much fuller. All you can do is find a time when you can get away with not shaving for a couple weeks (some workplaces frown on this) and see if you like what you get. If there is a female in your life, you will want to see if this will put a damper on your love life. Good luck.

Nope. I've grown a beard several times now. It really depends on how old you are. Your beard is one of the slowest things to mature. Sure if you never shaved you could have a semi-crappy beard in Jr. High even, but who would want that. No, they reccomend just letting grow everywhere or 6 weeks, then styling it, or having someone style it, the way you want. I always style after just a couple weeks, because I know I don't want much hair on my neck.

That help?

If you really want a beard, find out about a small seeds just the size of a ping pong ball, and it looks like a head of a buffalo. Take the seed inside the shell, fried it untill it became oilly. After that it can be use directly to your chin. I dont know how to describe the name in english. But it can really grow beard 100%.

no. shaving cuts hair on a slant so it looks like it is growing different but its not. shaving the outside of your hair can't effect the inside growth.. think about it.. What makes it grow faster? manipulations. seriously. rub your chin massage it whatever. that stimulates hair follicles and helps grow. thats what we tell chemo and aloepicia clients. Thats about all you can do. .. just let it grow!

Okay, serious answer:

If you're into herbs then rosemary and nettle (tincture, herb, and/or aromatherapy), onion juice rubbed on the beard (put on like at night time). If you choose to go aromatherapy use a vitamin e carrier oil, or use the vitamin e oil on a nightly basis.

No - it does not. YOUR genetics determine YOUR hair growth - all over your body. You cannot re-program genetics. You cannot MAKE hair grow.. If & when your genetics decide to kick in - then growth can occur - & NOT before. You must have patience - & wait to see what all develops.

Nothing you can really do. Shaving a lot will not really help, And for one of the comments left above saying shaving too often will take away the smoothness.....thats not true either. I shave twice a day, and I have no problems.
