I wonder if you mean a Corrnish Mivvi. I think they go back to the 60's. They were an incredibly delicious ice-cream lolly. They had presumably 'Cornish' ice cream on the inside and you could get different fruit flavoured ice on the outside, such as strawberry or pineapple. They really were nice. Imagine a Magnum, but with fruit ice instead of the chocolate.
