In all of the current events going on right now, whether its war, or a skirmish, or terrorism, there seems to be a lot of fingerpointing and blame and labeling of bad guys. But who are the GOOD GUYS?

I came out with this test. Look at the two sides of any conflict and ask yourself what one side would do if the other side disarmed.
If the U.S. laid down it's guns and walked away from Iraq, what would happen? The insurgents would continue attacking. If the insurgents laid down their weapons, what would happen? The U.S. would pack up and ship out. (Obviously it's not quite that simple, but that's the gist).
If Hezbollah stopped fighting today, Isreal would have no reason to continue fighting. They would cease fire immediately.
If Isreal stopped fighting today, Hezbollah would over run their country, and kill everyone they wanted.

Just curious to see what other people thought.

Very good observation. You do not have to go very far to see how true it is. The Palestinians kept saying Peace for land. No land no peace. Israel then gives them the Gaza Strip back and they use it to fire rockets at Israel.

For those who think we could use political solutions do not understand the situation. Cease fires have always been broken by Palestinian terrorist. The problem is that the Palestinians do not want to share the region they want the whole region as Palestine, and will settle for NOTHING less.

I think you hit it exactly. My only question is do we want to watch the genocide of Iraqis & Israelis? I do not & I think the bad guys are easy to see, so the other side has to be the good guys.
Terrorists are always bad & the goverments they fight are at least better than the terrorist.

Terrorist are banding together, when al-Queda comes out in defense of Hezbollah & says no one will be safe from bombings unless Hezbollah wins.

ok if the iraqis insurgents lay down their wepons the us wont leave cos iraq have a lot of the so wanted and so expensive oil stored in their lands, and if hezbollah lays down their arms, israel will still kill them 4 principal, and take south lebanon in its hands the other two are terrorosts so theyr not the good guys, so the answer is there are no good guys, only ppl who want power and money

In life, unlike in a Hollywood film, there are very rarely any real good guys.

You just outlined exactly the way I feel and think.
I don't think I could add anymore to that, except, you are not alone. That's why to me it just seem so hopeless.
