The answer is kind of complex, men don't deal on an emotional level
in which they need to "communicate" their feelings.
they tend to internalize or keep their feelings inside. believe me he probably hasn't truly "moved on" he is just keeping his feelings hidden because it is easy er for him to "stuff them" than deal with them.

It's not easy for men. Most of the time they move on with the last person in mind. They are hurting just as much if not more. They want it to appear as if nothing is wrong. Plus men don't get as emotionally tied to things as women do so its easier to move on. Women are ruled by their emotions.

Well this is a great question. I am married and my husband sometimes is the most ignorant man on the earth. Men are just naturally made not to care. They really have to let their egos down and that is a problem. Woman are the ones to be emotionally attatched, we care about others feelings. We as women are born with that natural instinct of caring and love. Be glad you have a heart but dont let your big are cause you pain.

Men are less likely to get emotionally attached in the first place. some of us do, and end up more depressed after gettin dumped. but very few of us really move on from SOMETHING SERIOUS after a few minutes, unless it wasn't really serious to us, or we really did realize it wasn't going anywhere. Women are quicker to hold on 2 the past since most of the relationship is about emotion to them in the first place. women wit this problem need to be like the other ladies let to of those emotions n move on to watevas(what ever's ) good for them

Not all women dwell on a break up. Some are already over the person before the actual words are said.

Men are taught at an early age not to show emotion. Little boys are told not to cry when they get hurt.....take it like a man!
Just because he s-e-e-m-s to be doing okay, doesn't mean he is.
We women are the emotional keepers of a relationship. We'll disect the relationship til we come up with an answer.

i know exactly where you are coming from...we probably take a lot longer to actually get to and go through the process of a break-up, too.
I think it's our maternal/nurturer instincts; not wanting to hurt others. I have convinced myself (in the past) that it felt better to hurt myself than to hurt another person I loved.
Guys on the other hand, seem more focused on doing what makes them most satisfied and always having what they need. I guess that's their "hunter-gatherer" instinct!

Who said they move on in a couple of minutes ?? That is not true. If they really cared about you they go through the same things. They just dont show it like we do.

I think it's biological. Women had babies, and needed just one man to protect them against predators. It was biologically necessary that she become attached to him, otherwise it would be very hard to stick with him. Men, on the other hand, were just needed to go around impregnating women, so it wlould work against them to become attached to the women. Of course, it's also possible that guys obsess just as much as we do, but they hide it better.
