Yeah, I agree. If he is not neutered I would say get him fixed. If he is neutered, it may be a behavioral problem, in which case I would consult your vet. Persians can be very finicky. My Persian (who was spayed at a very young age) started urinating on my dad's clothes for no apparent reason. No one else's, just his. She'd just pee on his stuff. Also, is his litter box clean? Did you change cat litter brands? The vet told me that Persians in particular can be very snobby about their litter box and if it smells too strongly (i.e. dirty, or scented cat litter) they will not use it, and they will let you know that they are not using it. Has there been any other lifestyle changes? A new addition to the house? A new pet? A new baby? Someone else move in? Working new hours? If none of this is the problem, consult the vet, your kitty might have some other issues. Best of luck to you, I'm sure you'll figure it out!

Have HIM SPAYED ASAP. He's a CAT, and CATS do this kinda crap all the time. I USED to have a neighbour's cat "spray" on my tires, stinking up my yard and SUV. Needless to say, that cat no longer comes around.

THIS is YET another example of why I'm a dog person.

I think he's marking his territory, like all pets do.

Hopefully it will die down, but if not, consult your vet just to be safe. I'm sure it's nothing really bad, and he will be okay very soon!

=D Vote me best answer if this helps!

If he is not fixed, that is typical male behavior from a cat. My cat used to do that, but now he is fixed, and it changed his behavior

first of all, is he neutered? cause that's a BIG part of why he's spraying not just you, but your house.
