I need to know! Sometimes when visitors peep their heads to see her, she barks instantly! How do I make her feel secure?

You could try a firm "no" or "quiet" every time your dog barks, and positive reinforcement ("good dog!" and lots of petting) when he's quiet with people. The water gun trick works well too, plus if the dog doesn't connect you with the spraying, it shoud work even when you're not there. Just spray the dog immediately (just one little shot, more to surprise him than to get him wet or anything) the second he starts to bark.

i think that you cant help it! taking a bark away from a dog, is like taking words away from you. its not right. you just have to deal with it or you shouldnt have gotten the dog

kick it............no seriously.......thats really mean......i wouldnt do that......i have a black lab..........i got her a shock collar.....get one with different setting strenghts.....since your dog is very small, put it on the lowest setting...........hope that helps........ : )
