NO!!!
There is nothing wrong with trying to figure out how things work. And there is nothing wrong with believing in a higher power and trying to figure out how everything was accomplished. You're using the internet, aren't you? That's from science, not god, so if you're using it, does that make you hypocritical? People that want to use science to improve the world or improve understanding are still entitled to have faith and believe whatever they want.

of course not. i am a christian. i am also a scientist.

i use history and archeology to prove the stories in the bible. from an archeological standpoint, we can find DEFINATE descriptions and texts of the societies and cultures and civilizations that are mentioned in the bible. therefore, the bible is true, based on the fact of their existence.

from a historical viewpoint, we find other writings, such as city and "state" documents that prove the existence of the persons in the bible. Jesus is found to be referenced in many other documents than just the bible. we KNOW that a person named Jesus was crucified for the "sin" of claiming to be God's Son. we can trace back to Moses, Noah, King Solomon and King David (from which Jesus descends) and so on.

therefore, the bible is fact, based on the proof of existence of these historical figures.

what the bible cannot provide in it's written pages, is the divinity of Christ in Jesus, nor the existence of His father, God. somethings have to be taken on faith.

although who has more faith in the unbelieveable? the creationist or the evolutionist? i say the evolutionist does, for they would like us to believe that for no particular reason, a lizard egg hatched a chicken-thing. and that all of the other chicken-things together make up our current feathered friends.

at least i can see the fruit of God, in the earth, the sky and the heavens. i ain't never seen no lizard lay a chicken egg.

Science is also a faith-based point of view. If you have two brain cells to rub together, take a look at the text cited below.

If they acknowledge that they are going to hell unless they repent for the scientific part of their life, it's not hypocritical.

AND

As long as they acknowledge that they should never been taken with full credibility as scientists because of the faith-based part of their life, it's not hypocritical.

Not all scientists believe in evolution theory .. In fact a large portion actually reject evolution as totally false both scientifically and morally. That is not commonly reported... in the US 70 % of population beilieve in Creation as in Genesis....(Gallop poll).

No. Despite what some people think science and religion don't have to be antagonists and they CAN be compatible. The trick is all in interpretations and keeping an open mind.

No more than scientists who are atheists. They are trying to force the evidence to fit their preconceived ideas even when it does not.
