The lemons should be room temperature or warmer before the juice is removed. This will make it easier to squeeze the juice from the fruit.
Warm lemons by placing in the microwave. First poke the skin of the lemon with a fork, being careful not to poke all the way through the skin to the flesh.
Place the lemon(s) in the microwave on high for 20 to 30 seconds.
Lemons can also be warmed by placing them in a bowl and pouring boiling water over them. Allow them to sit in the hot water for 30 seconds.
After the lemons have been warmed, roll them on a solid surface using the palm of your hand. Roll until you feel the flesh softening.
After rolling the lemons, cut them in half crosswise. Place one half of the lemon on the juicer, apply pressure and twist the lemon to remove the juice. The juice can also be removed by squeezing the lemon by hand.
Remove all the seeds from the juicer once you have finished.
The extra pulp that has collected in the bottom of the juicer can be added to the lemon juice once the seeds have been removed, unless pulp-free juice is required. If it is necessary to use pulp-free juice, strain juice to separate any pulp that may have gotten into the juice.
In a saucepan, bring 1/2 cup of water to a boil and then add 1 1/2 cup of sugar.
Continue to cook over medium low heat until sugar has completely dissolved.
Remove from the heat and add 1 1/2 cups of fresh lemon juice. Stir to mix thoroughly and then allow the mixture to cool. The lemon syrup can be stored in the refrigerator until needed or it can be mixed with water to produce lemonade.
Option: For additional flavor, add 3/4 tablespoon of grated lemon zest when adding the fresh lemon juice.
To make lemonade, add lemon syrup to 4 1/2 cups of water. Taste to test for sweetness. If necessary, add a little more water. Refrigerate until chilled or serve over ice.

The secret is to have a strong and sweet lemonade. Make it a little stronger than you would like and then when you add the ice to it, it doesn't weaken so much.
I use a dozen lemons rolled and squeezed. then slice them up and put into the juice. Add sugar and water to taste. You can also cheat by adding CountryTime Lemonade to stretch your lemons. Tastes great and you really can't tell that it isn't made from scratch when combined.

This recipe should make approximately 16 glasses.
8 large lemons
225g/8 ounces caster sugar
2.25 litre/4 pints boiling water
1. Wash and dry lemons.
2. Peel off lemon peel very thinly with potatoe peeler.
3. Squeeze juice from lemons and put in covered plastic container in refridgerator.
4. Put peel in large bowl or jug with sugar.
5. Pour over boiling water, stir briskly, cover and leave overnight in a cool place.
6. Next day add reserved lemon jouice. Strain into jugs and chill.
Have used this many times and works well.

You need about one lemon and one tbsp honey to 100 ml of water. Then personally I put the honey in the water and warm it until the honey melts and then allow the solution to cool. Once fridgerated add the juice of the lemon and glug it down with lots of ice. If you find it too bitter put somemore honey water in, too sweet add more lemon.
You can add in oranges or lime and use sugar instead of honey if you prefer. Personally I prefer to make up the honey water ahead of time and then when I want a glass, juice the lemon there and then.

- one lemon ( cut in halves)
- a dejuicer
- Two tablespoons sugar
- one glass of Tap water( in cold water, sugar will be hard to stir in)
- ice ( optional)
Cut one lemon in halves. In the core of one half, make a small hole. Face it down on the peak of the dejuicer and dejuice. In the glass of water stir in the two spoons of sugar. Pour the lemon juice from the dejuicer in to the glass. If you want u can add ice, to cool the drink down a little more ( since the water being used is tap water).
