i am a caregiver of an alzheimers patient she has no problems swallowing but we cant get her to drink much fluids and im worried about dehydration

Offer fluids anytime you have interactions with her. It does not have to be water either, anything liquid will help if she's not getting much. If she has a favorite drink, give her that. You could also try foods that have high fluid contents, such as jello, popsicles, or soup. Good luck!!

Try gatorade instead. Alot of them don't remember to do so.. and you are right they have constant dehydration. The problem is they simply don't remember to drink, and they don't have that drive to search out fluid. I would try to increase the fluids that she takes in with the meals, such as adding a juice filled fruit to her diet like watermelon, etc.. and see if that helps.

The best solution that I know of is to make jello and feed it. People usually like sweet things. You can also make jello from fruit juice. Just follow the instructions on the Certo box.
