I found my future husband through speed dating. I think it kinda sucks that you only have a few minutes to talk but it's better then trying to shout out your convo. in a bar or have a annoying guy all over you and making up some dumb pick up lines.....hey if you don't care for the guy in speed dating don't check yes and he'll be gone in a few =) it's nice

did it work? I dont know. I think there is very little you can learn about someone in 2 minutes but it is a safe way to meet someone.
The internet works too; you can really get to know how someone thinks and what they are interested in by chatting on line but you dont know what they really look like, how they walk or sound until you meet them face to face.
Im sure that meeting someone through mutual interest works best because you can become friends and have fun before romance becomes an issue

if you thought you liked someone check their website out. if no one ticked you, then try another event. or just go out and try to pick someone up your self you never know whats around the corner.
