I don't think people are always putting down god. I mostly see them putting down other people that try to tell them what to do in regard to religion. There are a lot of people who believe in god but have had a bad taste left in their mouths by organized religions who want you to fit into their herd mentality and call you blasphemous if you question anything.
Proof in point: 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you.'
So if you tell people what you believe (that god is coming soon and we don't have much time) why shouldn't people say back to you what they may believe (that you're full of cr*p and we'll be just fine)?
If you want people to be less sceptical try focussing on the positive.
People in this day and age don't like to be told "you better do what i'm doing or you'll go to hell" or put up with religious corruption like the catholic church's child sex scandals. People just want to think of god and spirituality as positive. So until all religious people have stopped focussing on other people's negatives we'll have these debates.

You are stating what YOU believe to be true. It may work for you in your life but everyone is different. There are many paths to God. Your constantly harping and telling others they are wrong is what attracts the anger and put downs.

many people (especially the teenage/young adult) are afraid to bring God into thier lives and feel they will be rideculed for having said anything about God other than something derogatory. I belive many people do belive but are too afraid of others and are too intimidated by others to admit it.

People who believe in Christ are CHRISTIANS. People who don't believe are NOT CHRISTIANS. If you wanna hang out with people who believe in Christ, you go to church for a reason. Get it through your skull that people hate getting preached to--especially me.

People on here slam our faith because the are in FEAR of their doubts and the way they live their life and that maybe they'll die without having a chance to repent.
Once you die its too late.
