The best notebook i've had is an HP compaq nc6000 which i think is the best in its class- it's got good features and fast centrino processor.
Now, unfortunately, got a dell latitude d610 which basically has same features with the HP and pentium M processor, but you feel the heat under your hands, and it's scrolling slower.

guess i'd say, a sony vaio notebook

Macbook and MacbookPro. You can now install both Windows and Mac on it.

if you want a pc then buy a toshiba if you want a mac the mac book pro.
