Christine, you will be in my prayers. Prayer is one thing that I truly believe in!! Even though I do not know all of the details of your illness(there are different types of MND) God does know. I will pray for God to give you strength and courage as you go thru this. I will also be praying for your family as well. You stay close to God. Miracles come from him everyday. When you get really down just know that you are in someones prayers. May God wrap his loving arms around you and give you courage as you face each day.

Don't be negative!

Look at Steven Hawking - he was given 2 years to live when he was 21, over 40 years ago!

Although not an official Christian, I was brought up to believe that God helps those who help themselves. So use a positive mental attitude and you will see your grandchild born! And then be able to look after it - and bug your daughter /in-law with loads of advice they don't really want!!!

Motor Neurone's disease is an awful thing and I wish you well. My mother died of that when I was 11. She lived for 6 years after she found out that she had it. Make the most of the time you have with your children and grandchildren they will treasure every minute of it after you have gone.

I'm really sorry christine, i have nursed patients with MND, there is no cure and i guess you have been told your prognosis, i will pray for you, but, the only words of comfort i can offer you is that you have the love and support of your family, it's also tough on them, i wish you dignity and as much comfort as possible.

Stick in there good buddy - if I could help with something that easy - I most surely would - what is 5 minutes to a healthy person - probably a lifetime to you.
