No disrespect or anything but whoever told you're father that it hurts and makes you're head bleed was lying. I am 16 and hispanic. I get cornrows all the time, the only thing is my hair is long so it takes a longer time. But gir cornrows don't make you r head bleed and it doesn't always hurt. It all depends on who is braiding you're hair. If she braids tight then it is gonna hurt a little bit, but while you are gettin' it done and it starts to hurt a lil bit just ask the braider to not braid so tight. And it doesn't matter if you are white, it feels the same to everyone. And it's not gonna look ugly just beecause of you're skin color. So don't worry after you get you're hair done it is gonna look cute.So you're dads's friend need to get his/her facts straight.

Your head should not bleed when you get cornrows. It could hurt a little while your getting them done but it won't last long. Most likely since it's your first time getting your head braided it will hurt but not as bad as your dad made it seem.

They don't bleed!
It may feel tight for the first day, but it's not an excruciating pain. As for being Caucasian, I think the braider has to grip tighter during the braiding because your hair is silkier in texture. I think you should go for the braids and have fun with them.

Daddy obviously doesn't like your corn roll idea. I had my whole head done on vacation. It hurt a little getting them done and it was a little tight the first day or so, but they loosened up and they were fine and no I never bleed from them, what the hell, did the person have ebola of the hair or something.

They hurt a little when its your first time getting them done. It really depends on if your "tender headed" or not. It doesn't matter if your black or white getting them done its all the same. It depends on the way you look on weather or not they will look funny. Someone like Jennifer Aniston would look horrible with them but someone more like the chick from father of the bride(the one on the movie case) would look better with them.

Hope this helps

sometimes cornrows if they are braided too tight they do cause alot of uncomfort. they only way you head would bleed if it was pulled absolutely too tight. good luck

You will be ok. It all depends on the person doing your hair. If they have heavy hands. You will be ok for the most part. Make sure you put grease in your hair first.

depending on how tenderheaded you are it may hurt but you have equal chances as any other ethnic group for them to hurt. the person who told u they bleed was lying and probably just didnt want you to get them. they are perfectly fine to get done/
