'"I will never forget that horrible scene when one corpse's head was cut off and replaced with a dog's head." Muslims consider dogs to be dirty animals. Most of the victims of violence are bound, a trademark sign of sectarian killings."

Events like these as well as beheadings, severing of limbs, and drilling into the head and eyes are all methods of torture and humillation used by sectarians.

There are large enough elements over in Iraq that in all essence are commiting genocide in the most horrific manner not seen since Nazi Germany.

What amazes me is this is all done in the name of religion. It is extreme evil at its worst. It is our moral responsibility to address these issues especially since I do not believe this is an isolate case and will continue to erupt throughout the world. There is a dysfunction that is being taught in certain religious circles and this is simply a manifestation of that dysfunctional teaching.

Jack Mehoff, I do know my history. This is different because what is going on in Iraq is a part of a world wide dysfunction. I believe that genocide is being attempted on any non believer or those deemed apostate. This does not happen in just one country as such in the countries you sited. I believe to some degree this was happening already in the Sudan but again this is the same dysfunction as what is going on in Iraq.

Of course civilized people would never do something like that. However, the people who do those things are not civilized. It's the same group of people who feel it's okay to behead an infidel, yet scream bloody murder when someone draws a caricature of Muhammad.

Make sense to you?

There are a lot more grossier things than that.

I think it's the way people think now. They do not respect the spirituality of the human body. Scary or horror movies do a lot of these mutilation to no end that most often, gives the sick mind a lot of ideas to pursue. Sometimes, there are people who can't distinguish what is real and what is not.

There is a town in my country where members of a certain group try to prove that even the sharpest knives cannot hurt them. So in front of a television reporter, they get a really big sharp knife and hit one of their members. The person's face showed pain, but he even shouted, "Nothing happened!" But when the reporter insists of seeing the man's clothes underneath (to check on his skin), there were traces of blood. Some people even tried their invincibility on bullets but all failed.

These people think that they are so blessed that they have every right to do what they want against people whom they think are sinners. We are all sinners, irregardless of religion. It is human nature to sin. Even the saints committed sin. The difference is we have also been gifted to repent.

So many misunderstandings and no reconciliation. That is what's happening. Those acts make them feel powerful, when in fact, they are drawing very thin lines of what is really evil.

"commiting genocide in the most horrific manner not seen since Nazi Germany" Are you serious? Know your history before talking nonsense.

Look at Rwanda in 1994 when close to a million people were murdered in period of 100 DAYS. They weren't killed over religion, they were killed over ethnicity. The US stood by and did nothing. Or how about the Srebrenica massacre which took place in Bosnia in 1995 that killed 8,000+ males in a period of a month. Again, it was over ethnicity. Iraq is nothing compared to this, it's not genocide what is happening in Iraq.
