You should know that when playing online games, internet connection is the very first thing you should think about. Some games do good even when your'e using a 56kbps dial-up connection. but with games that has higher graphic structure plus how many people are playing it, 56K isn't worth it.

I suggest you subscribe for a DSL line or broadband connection higher than 128Kbps. ---aztig!!-- \m/

I checked the requirements, if thats a recent celeron, purchased within the last year or two, it should be running pretty decently however, the celeron is a low end chip, so performance is not a priority for the chip, here are a few suggestions:

256 megs of ram is the minimum for nowadays the bare minimum, most machines you buy now come with a gig, or mabye 2 gigs if its a high end machine, think about adding more memory.

the celeron is the lowest of the intel chips and 2.4 ghz is a slow one as well, you might need to upgrade to a new computer, if you do so, think about something with a pentium 4 or athlon 64 (I like athons better) dual core is nice, but if budget is a concern, you can skip it as its not required for anything yet.

do you know if the video card in your system is dedicated or does it take some of the 256 megs of ram to run, most video cards that come with systems nowadays will actually borrow some of the system memory to handle the video card, so if your video card wants 128 megs, and you only have 256, you can see where that would leave almost nothing for the rest of the system, adding in a video card from the store would definately provide dedicated memory as well as greatly improve your graphics on screen (more than likely)

How many background processes do you have running in the background? each program is taking a little of your precious 256 megs of ram, and leaving less for anything else, if you are running windows xp, hit control+alt+delete and look at the processes, with google in another window, alphabetize them, then start plugging each into google and finding out what it does and if its required for your system to function, write down the ones that are ok to close, do so, then try and see if the game runs better with more memory available. (any changes you do here are fixed when you reboot so even if you mess up, just restart the computer and you will be ok, but you will also need to go thru this step every time you want to play if this fixes it)

make sure your system is not infested with spyware or viruses that are dragging down system performance, I like spysweeper for anti spyware, and avg free for my virus scanner.

minor fix that might help a little, defrag your hard drive, its under system tools in the start menu.

if you don't want to invest a lot of money in an old computer, you can pick up a decent tower only for around 4-600 dollars at any major electronics chain, you could use your current monitor with no problem, and you would have a much more robust system to base things off of.

Also, depending on how you connect to the internet, consider high speed, even the budget high speed places (in my area we have a 14.99 and 17.99 carriers) would be a gigantic leap over dial up connections if thats what you have.

Could be your video card, plus you probably need more RAM...I'd go with at least 512MB.
