Some PDF's are made to be "forms" which can be typed in. Most cannot however. This is the entire reason behind the PDF (Portable Document Format) - no one can change anything.

Your only option is to export the file into graphics which can be inserted into any graphics editing or word processing program and 'typed over'. (In MS Word, as an example, a graphic can be set to be 'behind' the text' thus allowing anything you type to show up on top of it. There is also the Screen Snapshot tool (these are all in Adobe REader) which can allow you to capture a page entirely and paste it into your workspace. OR, you can also use the Text Capture to copy all the text from teh PDF to any word processing program. Graphics however, are not always copied in this manner.

Once you finish, you can output your result as a PDF using any one of the number of free utilities which are available out there. (www.pdf995.com as an example.)

Another solution: Print out the document and then scan it in using a scanner with OCR. This will allow you to choose to convert it to a Word document. Carefully proofread the resulting document for any mistakes. Also, click on any stray marks and cut them.

Now you can edit as desired.

Select all, copy to texteditor like Word or OpenOffice, edit.
BTW: OpenOffice is free and has the option to save as PDF.

save it. make a jpeg or insert it into............POWERPOINT *microsoft powerpoint* and create a text box on the parts you want to type in words.
