There is much difference. First Class offers a more comfortable seat, wider seat, better food offerings, better inflight entertainment. It will cost you a good amount to fly this class, especially on international flights. Not all airlines offer first class. Business class is more for the business traveler and is not offered on all airlines. Some airlines only offer this on international flights and some airlines use this class as their first class. It offers pretty much the same as first class, but a few things may not be offered in this class that are offered in first class. The seat might not be as wide, and may have a lesser recline. The price for business class is not as bad as first class, but it still is a little pricy. I prefer to fly this class on international flights. Economy class is a class that is affordable with standard amenities. You probably not going to have a gourmet chef cooking, and you wont have as much luxuries. Most people fly this class and most people fly this class especially on short flights.

Room, comfort and pampering.
economy isn't called cattle class for nothing. Cheap and nasty and on long haul very unpleasant! Especially if you are 6 foot 5.
Business. More room and pampering. Makes the trip easier but also costs up to double economy fair.
First class, where quite often the airline will pick you up in a limo, and you can sail through security at the airport in a dedicated line, costs up to 4 times as much! Usually the seat folds down into a bed though!
The extra cash gets you extra comfort basically. If you need to arrive refreshed after 22 hours of flying, try to avoid cattle class ;)

A lot of money, but a lot of comfort.
Private Check-in counter, comfortable lounges, where you can have drinks, food, etc, and in some case, have shower, massages, etc, while waiting for the plane. You're also allowed more luggage, earn more miles, 5 star treatment in board, better seats, etc...
It all depends on the value of your time and your budget. If your boss pays or if you are in the Corporate Philanthropy business go for First.
In any case.. good journey, that is what it counts.... keep on the move.

First class passengers get the best seats, better services than economy, they get to have more food and drinks, more movies to watch for them, first to go in the plane and first to go out of the plane. Economy passangers get in the plane last and leave the plane last. They have to wait for all the first class guys and the business guys. And the restroom, economy guys share in the limited space available for them.

Basically the more you pay the bigger your seat is and the more individual your service from the flight attendant. In economy you may get a can of sardines you have to open yourself and no free drinks. First class may provide champagne and caviar.
