Put the diaper on backwards, when it is potty training time go to www.easypottytraining.com whatever you do while potty training do not use pullups or padded underwear, if it looks like a diaper, feels like a diaper they will use it like a diaper its what they have been doing their whole life. In my opinion disposable training pants are the diaper companies way to keep making money from you, they don't work, and if kids get potty trained thats $20 that the diaper companies lose each week from every parent.

My twin daughters are 22 months too and doing the same thing! At night was the worst because one would take it off and then put her pants back on and wet the bed while she slept.
We actually ended up using duct - tape. We use the type that has the duck on it. Make sure that it is not super industrial strength or it will hurt her skin. It is best to rip it down the middle so it is not as wide. We also have to wrap it all the way around and lap it in the back because they figured out how to take it off if they can get ahold of an end. My daughters now want the duct tape. We think they are trying to Houdini out of it but they haven't figured it out yet.

If you're trying to potty train anyway, put her in panties. I think pull ups are no different than diapers but they are handy at bed time and car trips. Any way getting her out of diapers will move the training process along a lot smoother

Try using pull ups or panties instead of diapers. My daughter did the same thing. And she never had an accident after I put her on panties she was just ready to be potty trained.

Here's a little something you can try. My sister-in-law's daughter was famous for taking off her diapers in the middle of the night. Each morning my sister-in-law would find her daughters rubber pants tossed out of the crib and lying on the floor, and her cloth diapers with safety pins still attached laying inside the baby crib rolled up in a ball.
At her wits end, my sister-in-law put a pair of regular ordinary cotton baby training pants over her daughters diapers and rubber pants before putting her to bed for the night, and pinned the training pants at the back with a diaper pin. That did it.

Have you tried changing brands of diapers? Maybe she doesn't like the feel of a diaper????
I would also suggest trying to start potty training her. She maybe telling you she is ready. I did this to my parents when I was 13 months old. And was trained in a week.

HaHa...its just a phase and she will grow out of it. Mine went through that and I had to put a onesie over the diaper, a pair of shorts and her nightgown on her to keep the diaper on her. She just stopped as suddenly as she started. It only lasted a couple of months. But mine didn't just do it in her bed before going to sleep if she was running around the house wearing something she could get out of she did - she's just showing her independence. And probably fascinated with the fact that she can do something on her own like mommy does. Just talk to her and explain that it is wrong.

Put her diaper on backwards. And make sure you keep pants or shorts on her at all times. It worked for me. Potty training takes time and patience. Be patient. The only reason she is taking her diaper off is because she can...

I'm laughing as I read this because my 22 month old daughter just took her diaper off too. She's being doing this as well. I would suggest that every time she takes her diaper off to take her to the bathroom. At night when you change her take her to the bathroom. I would also suggest using training pants, sometimes they are harder to take off, at least they are for my daughter.

Duct tape works wonders. I had this problem with a boy I used to watch who was around the same age. His parents wrapped duct tape around the diaper area where the clasps are. It worked and the boy really didn't seem to mind. It is easy to get on and easy to tear to get off. After a while he realized there was no getting the diaper off and they stopped putting the tape on and he did not do it again! Hope this helps.
