Some are some aren't. Isn't that the way with everyone?

Most are, some aren't. The same could be said for people of all faiths and all walks of life. In general, Christians are not more loving or tolerant than anyone else.

Those who ARE christians, are tolerant loving people. If people use the label of "christianity" or any religion for that matter, I don't consider them true followers. They're just hiding behind a mask. So if you mean christian as a label, then no, not all are loving and tolerant. In true essence though, yes.

Glittering generalities in questions simply don't work...some are and some aren't. A better phrasing of this would be to ask if the Christian Religion is tolerant and loving...Than you may/might actually get a useful answer. PEACE!

Not all of them. Just because you are Christian does not mean you have to be nice and perfect all the time. I am a Christian and I am mean and b*tchy sometimes. I tolerate certain things I do not like because that's just how life is.

true christians are loving, but christians was never meant to be tolerant, but cause we dont tolerate sin and certain lifestyles. to tolerate actually means to go along with something that you dont agree with or like. so since christians dont agree with sin we are not obligated to tolerate or "put up with" sin.

that why alot of black/nonwhite people was up set with Pres. Bush because he said america" tolerates" other ethnicites,. that sent the message that america doesnt really like minorities , but they just let them live here or"put up with them"

Christians are human, our "nature" is to be loving and caring, but i find many of us to be critical and strict, always trying to fix things by telling what the rule was to your problem.....that is a good way, but we should heal broken hearts and sinners and people in general by love, not by saying "if you hadn't ran up the street after him, you wouldn't be looking like this today"...instead we should try, "sweet heart, where does it hurt and what does it feel like, and let's see what we can do to fix it".....then you tell her/him the situation and let that human being live with some dignity and respect.

Well as a whole the ones Ive met and come in contact with were not. They were extremely judgmental and had closed minds to any thing but their own beliefs. I also have met some very open loving people that are Christan's. so as in life all are different it seems.

I think that a significant number of them are. Probably the majority. Unfortunately they are often overlooked because of the loudmouthed, rude, vile, hateful people who call themselves "Christians" and who give all of them a bad name.

Kind of like the everyday Muslims are overlooked due to the militant extremists who are perverting the religion in the name of Allah.

Funny how that works, innit?

Christians- thats SUCH a broad category
you have SO many sects of protestantism. you have catholics, you have orthodox (european sects included) etc.

I think some are, but ones like 7th day adventists ( jehovah's witnesses) and Fundamentalist Anabaptists are NOT tolerant or loving of any non-christians!

Ever heard of the Spanish Inquisition? Bloody Mary? The Salem Witch Trials? They'd still be happening today if the 'moral majority' had their way.
