Firstly, your not three stone above your weight range. I'm also 5'2. and you can weigh between 8stone1 and 10stone1 and still be in a healthy weight bracket, so you dont need to loose as much as you think you do! I have 2 kids too!, and it is hard work to get back into shape, but swimming is fantastic for all areas of your body, so give it a try! I follow the Weight Watchers plan, which means i can still eat what i fancy in moderation, you can go to online meetings too now.

Yep, swimming is great as it is an all over body work out that is gentle on joints.
Body wraps help you lose a few inches and improve the look of cellulite for a very short time only.

I am a waterpolo player and let me tell you.. .swimming helps! a lot! I am in the best shape of my life when I am in season. Start with 1000 yds (40 laps) a day and work your way up. You have definitely heard rumors because swimmers happen to be the most in-shape athletes in the world

swimming is a ridiculously good exercise. Its the same type of exercise as running, except not only are you burning with your legs, but your arms as well. As far as I know any kind of cardio exercise that makes you hot and out of breath is helping you lose weight. You also get to keep cool by being in a pool while exercising

yes. swimming gives you a full body workout, unlike at the gym where you only work a couple muscles at a time.
