Crock-pots are truly dummy proof. You will be glad that you bought one!! Here are a few that I have done. Also, the crock-pot liners are amazing for clean up!!

Cheesy Crock-pot chicken
4 whole boneless chicken breasts
2 cans cream chicken soup
1 can chedder cheese soup

Remove all fat and skin from chicken; rinse and pat dry, sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Put in crock-pot and add the three soups straight from the cans. Cook on low all day (at least 8 hrs) do not lift the lid. Serve over rice or noodles.

Country Roast
1 (3-4 lb roast) I usually get what is on sale
4T flour
Seasonings (Garlic, salt, pepper & seasoning salt)
2T cooking oil
Chopped potatoes, carrots & onion

Season flour with choice of seasonings. Dredge roast in flour and brown on all sides in oil. Add Roast to crock-pot and throw in chopped vegetables. Add 1/2 c water and cook for 8 to 10 hours.

Just like lasagna
1 box rotini (or ziti), any fun, flavorful pasta will do
2 - 28-oz jars pasta sauce (one with tomato chunks works well)
1 egg
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb sausage
2 tbsp olive oil
1 C. parmesan cheese
1/2 C Italian breadcrumbs
1 bag mozzarella cheese

16-20 oz. ricotta cheese
2 eggs
1 C. parmesan cheese
1 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
Dash salt & pepper

Grease crock-pot, or spray with non-stick cooking spray. Cook rotini according to package directions, drain. Brown and drain meat. Toss pasta with olive oil. Add pasta sauce to mixture, toss well. Stir together parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, 1/2 bag mozzarella cheese, and browned meat. Can sprinkle lightly with garlic powder. Beat together ricotta, 2 eggs, parmesan, parsley, salt & pepper. Pour half of pasta/sauce/meat mixture into crock-pot. Spread entire ricotta mixture over first layer of pasta. Cover ricotta layer with remaining pasta mixture, and cover with remaining cheese. Cover, and cook on low 4-6 hours.

Check the freezer section of your local grocery store. They have meals called Crockpot Helpers or something like that. It's basically a meal in a bag that you cook in the crockpot for 4-8 hours. They are really good and fairly inexpensive to feed a family of 5. I think they might be Betty Crocker brand but I'm not sure. Other wise get a 3-5 lb beef roast, put in a couple cups of water, some seasoning, cook on low for about 3 hours, cut up some veggies (carrots, potatos, celery) throw them in for another hour and a half and you got yourself a meal.

Here's a recipe for crockpot beans that's very easy, especially if you cook your bacon and chop the onions a day ahead so you can just throw them in the crockpot when you're ready to start.

Crockpot Beans

3/4 lb. bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
1 cup chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans, undrained
1 can red beans, drained
1 can great northern beans, drained
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
3 Tbsp. vinegar
salt and pepper

Put all ingredients in crockpot and stir well. Cover and cook on low for 4 - 6 hours.

This is a fantastic recipe that gets rave reviews when served - it would be great with any kind of sandwich. Good luck!

I love my crockpot. You just put your food in it and walk away!

I love pulled pork BBQ made in the crock pot:
You'll need:
A 2-3lb Pork Roast
1 Bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

Put the pork roast in the crock pot. Cook on High for 4 hours. After 4 hours take the roast out and put it on a cutting board or large plate. With a for gently pull the roast apart (it's so tender it almost falls apart). Drain juices from the crockpot. Return the pulled roast to the crock pot and stir in BBQ sauce. Cook on High for an hour or Low for 2 hours.

This is great for sanwhiches too!

What I found to be great are the crock pot frozen meals you can buy. I think the ones I got were made by Banquet. They have the meat and everything already in them. You just pour the bag into the crock pot and turn it on for about 8 or so hours. About 30 minutes before it is done, you are supposed to add some water or something. All the directions are on the bag. Super easy and tastes great!

Try this:
*Cut a chicken into 8 pieces, remove skin and wash.
*Cut 2 potatoes into medium size chunks.
* Cut two tomatoes so that you have 6 pieces from each.
Don't cut the tomatoe in half, cut from it stalk center
downwards.
*Chop some leeks or celery

Put everything including chicken into big dish.

Now, add some salt and pepper over it now, a tablespoon of mild curry powder and mix this all up so everything is coated well.

Boil 1 big glass of water and add one chicken stock to it.

meanwhile warm oven ( low -medium heat)

Add all the ingredients in bowl to a casserole dish. I use a deep but wide one. Pour over this the stock and cover with lid. Put in oven for about a hour or so, or until cooked. It is absolutely delicious. Serve with a big salad. This is one of my own recipes - hope you like it!

Something my kids just love.... and SO easy

Whole chicken... rinsed off inside and out
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg dry lipton onion soup mix (use a sifter or something to get the onions out, throw them away, just use the powder)

put the soup in the crock pot
put the dry powder in the crock pot and stir it into the soup
put the chicken in the crock pot.
don't add anything, don't do anything else at all.

let it cook until the chicken is coming apart from the bone. it will make a gravy. take chicken out and pull the meat off the bone and put it back into the crock pot with the gravy. i serve it over wide egg noodles (cooked separately) or rice (also cooked separately).

my kids love it.
