I've asked her what she means and she says "A hold" with no other detail then that

You are not dating anymore. You are not a couple anymore. If you had some kind of rules related to your relationship, like no sex with other people etc.. then these rules don't apply anymore.
To but on hold means that she thinks that maybe she wants to start dating you again in the future.
It's useless to try to guess why your girlfriend wants to put you on hold. Only by asking you will know. Good luck. And don't loose yourself.

putting a relationship on hold means that your not dating for a while until she wants the relationship to continue however it doesnt mean that you guys are over neither.it just means that she wants some alone time.

That she needs her space and time to herself. But if she is seeing other people you sould ask her to explain whats the rules of this so called hold on the relationship. So you dont hurt her and she dont hurt you. But when something like that happens it means she just needs her own space and time.To herself, with family or friends.

It means its time to ditch the high maintenance girl and find one that wants you for you. This girl is clueless as to what she wants or is using the 'on hold' to go out w/ others. Either way honey, move on, theres lots of good girls in the world.

It means she's trying to decide if your a keeper or not. May also mean she wants a break. You best ask her directly instead of asking us to interpret for you. If she wants a break, then you 2 are done being exclusive for the time being.

Maybe it means that your relationship isn't going anywhere and she doesn't see a future for the relationship. I don't know... ask her, she's your girlfriend!

Well it sure does not mean that she is going to "HOLD" you..,you will fortunately or unfortunately find out that it means that either ,you are screwing up or that she has wandering eyes,

that your temproalily not gonna get any lol, jk no she just means that she needs a break and doesn want u to really bother her with being gf and bf at the moment so just try to get her back by being yourself.

You are back to being part boy and part friend.
But you don't have to settle for her telling you where you are. Ask her what she means, then tell her whether you accept or not. Get a backbone.
