When you work out you retain water, and when youre loosing body fat percentage and gaining muscle mass... it will vary. Pluss females either in "reproductive" ages or older always have monthly differences in hormones and water retentin... if you weight yourself in the am right after you go to the bathroom befor you eat. it is the most accurate. different times of the day vary also.

Because you are loosing water when you exercize and water has weight to it...
AND... when you exercise you burn calories thus with enough calories burned you lose weight
AND
everyone tends to fluctuate a pound or so just from water retention and foods they eat.

First clinical and home scales only have an accuracy of +- two pounds, and water loss may account for some change.

Your body gains & looses fluids daily as you intake and out put. sometimes giving as much as 5 lbs give or take.
