it is

the pope telling people not to use condoms, which make aids grow on this planet, people fighting over 'holy land', homosexuals being condemned for loving others people, catholics and protestants at war in Ireland, missionaries handing out bibles to starving children

versus

the good deeds the churches undoubtably do for the poor, giving morals to people who need it, giving comfort to lots of people about where they go when they die and how they live.

is God worth it?

The God thats in every Bible I ever read wasn't worth anything my dog has more compassion than that God. I guess a book like that was needed back two thousand years but not any more. God atarted off by lying he told Adam and Eve if they ate from the apple tree they would surely die. He must have wanted them to stay dumb, because the sepent comes along and teaches them they can only learn from the tree. They ate and they did not die like God told them. Then he ruins Mary's life by making her pregnant, couldn't he find a woman that wasn't married back then that probably ruined their life all three of them. Then God gets angry and instead of being forgiving he drowns all his children millions of people with the most horrible deaths possible. He killed old, young, good, bad, even the innocent babies. God isn't worthy of anything

Well first of all i'd say that existence of god isn't a question.

I'd tell you that religion like everything needs to grow and evolve with the community they serve. Kind of like the recommendations by church leaders in the ancient days that put things in effect so that the population and their supporters would grow. Now a days those principles need to be revisited ... does the church need to focus more on poverty and illegitemacy and less on birth control? Hmmm.... that would be something to ask the Pope i guess.

the explanation why you will question no count if God is nicely worth worshipping i think of is becuase you seem at on the instant's society and base perspectives approximately god on soley that aswell as unfourtunate activities which take place regular. despite if without dating with God theres like an entire area of understanding approximately life that we are lacking out. only as quickly as we seek for God and benefit a rleationship with him then we are bale to work out the reality and get a real expertise. i've got experienced this myself and as i seeked god, he printed himself greater prevalently in my life. draw on the factor of him and he certainly will draw on the factor of you. and from my findings i think he's definitely woth worshipping. by using God's holy spirit, the reality has been printed to me that the Bible isn't only yet another e book out of many. that's certainly the reality. and that i asuree you that as quickly as you seek for the reality Gos will willinly instruct you his nature which you have did no longer understand your finished lifetime

NO! It is not worth it. Good deeds are done by people and need no other justification other than humanitarianism. God is used as a justification for evil day in and day out.

NO.

I think the bad results of belief vastly outweigh the good.

But that's irrelevant.

How can you consciously chose to believe or disbelieve, based on a cost verses benefits analysis?

Don't we believe because we think something is really true, not because we get something out of believing?
