Well i say put the dogooders on an islands with all the criminals and let me live without fear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry but its power. The government and justice system are controlled by Tony. He has put his mates in all the top jobs. That means he has the say on what happens. the Human Rights he brought in are now a way for villains and terrorists to escape real justice. Tony who's wife represents people who object to British law was like her a Lawyer. They obviously need to make British justice as complicated as possible so the earn massive salaries for their lawyer friends. Faith is something a lot of people have lost in the last 9 years. If your going to rise up and fight let me know. I will bring 1000's of law abiding citizens to join you.

Deadly: Do you know what you're talking about? Clearly not, because if you did:
1. you'd know that Blair doesnt, i repeat for everybody who has this misperception THE GOVERNMENT DO NOT CONTROL THE JUDICIARY. I've explained this in countless answers. Its Montesquieus theory of justice. There are 3 arms of state, the legislature (law makers), The judiciary (Judges) and the Executive (Ministers). Each arm acts as a check and balance against each other arm to prevent any one arm of state gaining too much power and bringing about tyranny. It would be very dangerous to have one person controlling more than one. Say, as you are suggesting, Blair controled the Executive, and the Judiciary. He could fire all the judges that disagree with him. And as you say, put his friends in that will side with him. Do you see this happening? No? Shall I tell you why? Because Blair has no control or influence over the Judiciary. there are only 4 ways to remove a judge, Due to infirmary (illness), Resignation, Retirement, and dismissal. For a judge to be dismissed a petition must be passed in the Commons and lords, effectively passing an act of parliament to remove a judge. How many judges have been fired in HISTORY? 2. one in the 18 hundreds and one more recently, but he was a district judge and is slighty easier to dispose of.
2. Blair didnt 'bring in' the Human rights. The Human Rights act 1998 merely GIVES EFFECT TO (most articles of) THE EUROPEAN CONVENTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS. They are here because we are obligated under european law to do so. So you can blame the Hippies in the EU Parliament for that.
3. British law isnt complicated. Ok the wordings a bit awkward and sometimes difficult to understand, but the are, mainly common sense. They are not 'complicated' so their lawyer friends can earn large salaries. They are 'complicated' to eradicate ambiguosity (double meaning) and avoid loop holes (granted some do appear, but they can be fixed by a competant judge)
Just get your facts straight before making assertions.
Having said all that, in answer to the question at hand, I have my reservations about our justice system. Its full of greedy lawyers that only care about earning money, rather than their conscience. I still think we have a good system, its the sentencing guidelines that need toughening, automatic half sentence for a guilty plea?!?!/#!!!? plus the original sentences are far too lenient anyway.
But what can we all do about it? protest? Try to oust the government? How many people do you know that would do that? How many people are SO outraged by our gov that they are prepared to fight against it? What will we replace it with? In my view none of the parties running deserve it. The lib dems sound liek a bunch of raving hippies when ever they open their mouths, and the tories, well, Theyve compromised their policies to try and get elected. Theyve seen that left wing is working and decided to get in on the action. So they dont deserve in. Labour now look incapable of governing. BNP, whilst they are my favourite party, they are a little too extreme right for my liking.

Don't blame the police. They can only uphold the law. They are NOT judge and jury!
The judges are too soft. We have a terrible track record for actually jailing CONVICTED criminals. They get let off for the stupidest things - like convicted burglars who WRITE POETRY .......... what is that all about????? Oh, yeah, you write poetry so you don't actually need to go to prison .................. HELLO!!!!
It is about time the government - pathetic as they are - started listening to what the electorate want and stop worrying about whether BLAIR will become PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD. All he is interested in is his own future (financial and brown nosing).
But yes, perhaps we should all get together and DEMAND changes.

well simply put. We have way to many liberal judges that see fit to change laws to their liking. They try to change the Constitution, or they feel that since they are judges, they have the power of the land. And we also have way to many liberal lawyers too. Its true about what the world says about America. We are the land of lawyers.
