Koala

we have a very unique animal called a platypus which is very cool. the koala is a sentimental favourite though the kangaroo is what we are known for. The Lyrebird is also very unique in that it can imitate up to 100 sounds including a telephone, lawn mower, etc...

Crikey mate, what a weird question! It is an individual choice..... As an aussie, I would say my favourite animal is an orangutan.... does that fit the aussie mould cliche?

Definitely not koalas they can take your arm off if you eye ball them.
On the whole quite cuddly though.
As for the kangaroo they were (up until 1975) the main form of transportation over here (until the horseless carriage took off.....) now we just saddle em up for recreation...
